Services for Descendants
In the past only birth relatives could seek certain information about an adopted person. Changes to adoption regulations came into force in 2015 which allows descendants of adopted people and some others to ask an Intermediary Service to seek information about the adoption. This is not a statutory service and few Local Authorities offer this.
Information is only provided to registered adoption agencies such as CMB, which can use it as part of an intermediary service to descendants, similar to those already described elsewhere on this website.
Although this is a relatively new field, CMB has gained expertise in this area. By applying sensitivity and professional experience within the new legislative amendment, we can expertly support descendants seeking information.
We can help you at every step.
