Although we are not a research agency we can advise on how to carry out your own search or we can engage a professional researcher on your behalf. We work closely with two research agencies who we trust and know to be thorough and with whom we have negotiated a competitive price. We will provide you with information about both so that you can make a choice if you want CMB to commission research on your behalf. We will always double-check research – whether you have completed your own search or have engaged a researcher - and advise you on what supporting documents need to be obtained.

We can also help make sense of any adoption records you have obtained from your Local Authority, Adoption Agency or court service. Where necessary we can help you obtain these records.
